BRYAN COUNTY – A Durant man was transported by Air Evac to Plano following a single-vehicle wreck two miles west of Durant just after midnight Tuesday morning.

Daniel Wesley, 59, was driving a 2003 Lexus southbound on County Road Silo when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree, overturned onto its side and then caught fire, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Wesley was flown by Air Evac to Medical City of Plano, Texas, with head, trunk-internal, trunk-external, arm and leg injuries, but in stable condition.

There was an odor of alcohol on the driver and seat belts were equipped, but not in use, according to the report. The air bag did deploy.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Silo Fire Department and Bryan County EMS.
