The annual Christmas parade in Downtown is set to take place again in 2023.
Put together by the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce, the parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
More than 60 entries have already signed in and there will be 100 or more vehicles with signs and floats making their way down Main Street.
There will be candy stations and hot chocolate stations to provide treats free of charge lining the street.
And as Santa will take his traditional place as the finale of the parade, an honored guest will head up the event. Betty Wakefield has been named the “Queen of the Three Valleys.” She is 103 years old and will be driven in the parade by the Blast from the Past Car Club.
