Release

The Bryan County Health Department has partnered with the City of Durant, Durant / Bryan County Emergency Management, the Choctaw Nation and other community partners to provide drive-through COVID-19 testing.

This testing event will be one day only on Friday, April 3, 2020.  The testing clinic will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or as long as test kits last.  At this time, only 100 test kits are available.

This service is being offered free of charge to participants who are seeking COVID-19 screening.

The testing will be located in the lower level of the Choctaw Casino Parking Garage at the 4800 block of South 9th Street.

In order to be tested you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have fever greater than 100.4°F AND a cough or shortness of breath

Only one person per household will be tested.

“We are fortunate to live in an area where our longstanding partnerships and excellent history of response have made this event possible,” said Juli Montgomery, the Bryan County Regional Administrative Director.

Upon arrival to the drive-through location, patients should stay in their car. They will remain in their car as a sample is collected.

Samples collected from this location will be sent to a participating laboratory and participants will be notified of their results.
