On Sept. 3, 2019, Donna L. Turman (Hartzell) of Big Springs, Texas won her battle with cancer as she is no longer in pain, and her scars are a thing of the past. She is victorious. Donna was born in Bay City, Texas on Jan. 6, 1962 to Jim and Rose Hartzell. Donna married Larry Turman, the love of her life, on May 14, 2001.
The words that best describe Donna are courage, hopeful, and faithful. While battling cancer she stood courageously, always hopeful throughout her battle and faithful to her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Donna was a member of Victoria SDA Church. Donna loved to laugh and have fun, and cherished her four dogs: Lady Bug, Gizmo, Sissy, and Runt. She spoke highly of her loved ones and friends, and those that loved her spoke highly of her.
The youngest of four children, Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Rose Hartzell, and brother, Earnest Hartzell. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 18 years Larry Turman, siblings Violet and brother-in-law Russell Harper, James and sister-in-law De Anna Hartzell, numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends, all of which will greatly miss her but look forward to their reunion at Christ’s second coming.
She will be laid to rest in Durant, Okla.
