Donald Titsworth

Donald Joe Titsworth, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and sibling, left this earthly life and joined his Savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born in Bennington, Okla. on May 11, 1947 to William Harce Titsworth and Myrtle Velma (McIntire) Titsworth.

Donald married his cherished spouse Delorse McFatridge in Hugo, Okla. on July 20, 1990. He was employed by Bryan County District 3 for 17 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bennington. Donald loved a quiet day of fishing, being in the woods coon hunting, or a pickup ride on the back roads. Donald considered his family his greatest blessing on this earth and cherished any time they spend together.

Mr. Titsworth was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, William David Titsworth, Billy Ray Titsworth, Larry Titsworth, Darell Titsworth, Johnny D. Titsworth, Quinn Titsworth, Jr., Elba Knight, and Kay Blain.

Mr. Titsworth is survived by his wife, Delores of the home; children: Robin Titsworth of Bonham, Texas, Marsha Titsworth of Sherman, Texas, Bruce Titsworth of Bonham, Texas, Benny Titsworth of Grant, Okla., Susie Titsworth of Soper, Okla., stepson, Bradley Freeman of Atoka, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Ruth Reynolds of Bennington, Okla., Foye Curtis of Bennington, Okla., Joy Nichols of Ravenna, Texas, Wayne Titsworth of Bonham, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Bennington, Okla. with Bro. Jay Perry officiating.

His final resting place will be the Jackson Cemetery in Bennington with Billy McFatridge, Freddy McFatridge, Brent McFatridge, Danny McFatridge, Clemmie Trent, Michael Mathews, Taylor Scott, Ed Rose, Mitch Andrews, and Blake Delgado as his pallbearers. His honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Trent, Hunter Mathews, Clay Delgado. The service will be available for viewing via live stream on our Facebook page.
