Donald Dean Parker, 72, of Smithville, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life into eternity at his home on July 10, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1953. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Parker, Sr. and Vera Louise Briggs Parker; his infant sister, Carolyn Parker; and his infant grandson, Harley Parker.
He is survived by his son, Kristopher (Tami) Parker of Coleman, Okla.; his brothers, Clyde A. (Janice) Parker, Jr. of Cantonment, Fla., and Ronald (Delecia) Parker of Lexington, Tenn. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Lori Martin, Garrett Parker, and Abbi Parker; and his great-grandchildren: Linin Martin, Noveli Martin, Waylan Martin, Kyler Parker, and Bridger Perez. Don is also survived by his aunts, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Don worked for many years in the automotive industry, starting with his parents at Service Parts Co. in Durant. Outside of work, Don found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter and loved spending time in nature.
Don loved the Lord and his church. The family takes comfort in knowing that Don has entered into eternal rest and will be forever remembered with love.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on August 1, 2026 at Big Creek Family Worship Center, located at 29033 U.S. Highway 70 – one quarter mile east of Bokchito, Okla.
Everyone is invited to come, share and celebrate Don’s life.
