It is located in the non-smoking Sky Tower near The League and seats 125 people. The Food Hall features Velvet Taco, South Hot Chicken, The Pit, Slush’d and Italia Kitchen. The hall is open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – midnight.

Kaley Green, Regional Director of Marketing at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant, shared about the new section of the facility.

“We are so thrilled to open these five new venues,” Green said. “It has completed changed the landscape of this side of the building. It is so convenient to the parking garage, so you just hop on the elevators, come down and it’s right there at your fingertips, if you’re a local. And also, for The District, it’s very family friendly. A family of five can come in and choose a different for each person, if they wish.

“Velvet Taco is a Dallas-based chain and we’re excited to have that as a new franchise here on the properly. They’re also the only Velvet Taco located at a casino in Oklahoma. And the other four concepts are Choctaw owned, concepted right here amongst our own. The Pit which is barbecue. South – hot chicken – which is a take on Nashville hot chicken. And then Italia, which has a different take on pizzas.”

Slush’d also provides its take on daquiris for its customers.

The District Food Hall was designed as a modern, communal space that is warm and inviting. Artwork showcased in the Food Hall is courtesy of Choctaw tribal artists, which includes four large pieces created by Dylan Cavin, Steve Paul Jedd, D.G. Smalling and Antonio Belindo.
