The Durant ISD informed parents and students on Friday of its plans for upcoming weeks with regard to the COVID-19 disease, also known as the Coronavirus, via phone and Facebook.
Spring break for the district is set to begin on Saturday, Mar. 14, and the current plan is for students to return to class on Monday, Mar. 23. This situation will continue to be evaluated.
However, all extra-curricular activities and events have been suspended through Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2020.
DISD stated that the situation is being closely monitored and would provide updates as needed.
