Diane Glover

Regina Diane Glover was the Christmas miracle of Rex Mitchell and Lawanda Box (Knipe), born December 25, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away and received her eternal reward on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The family eventually moved to Blue, Okla., where she grew up and attended school. After graduating, Diane began her life long career in customer service. Whether delivering paint for Olly’s Car Colors, making the best banana split you ever had at Braum’s, taking an order at a table, or ringing up a sale at the convenience store, she always had a friendly smile and hello for her customer.

Diane married her soul mate, Troy Glover, on December 26, 1978. They lived most of their married lives raising their children in Durant, Oklahoma. She loved being a Wife, and a Mom to her children. She adored being NeeNee to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Diane’s hobbies included reading, solving word puzzles (especially crosswords), coloring, cooking for her friends and loved ones, and taking care of animals of all kinds, big or small.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Troy; infant daughter, Jennifer Lee Bailey; son, Tracy Glover; daughter, Deyonna Arnold; infant brother, Rex Mitchell; sister, Skeeter Loyd.

Left to cherish Diane’s memory are her son, Allen Bailey and wife Lisa of Durant; son, Joey Bailey and wife Chanelle of Armstrong; son, Neal Glover and wife Sharmaine of Durant; daughter in-law, Rhonda Glover of Calera; brother, Elmer Mitchell and wife Judy of Bokchito; sister, Melissa Ackley and husband Stuart of Silo; 29 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the ER, ICU, and PCU staff of Alliance Health of Durant; the staff at Southern Pointe Living Center of Colbert; and the staff at Centric Home Health/Hospice for their diligent and dedicated care of our sweet angel Diane.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant with Bro. Monty Wood officiating.

Committal services will follow at Highland Cemetery with Allen Bailey, Joey Bailey, Corey Bailey, Brian Fowlkes, Corey Fowlkes, and Lane Tyree serving as pallbearers. Dalton Glover and Aaron Arnold will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
