DURANT – Key Club members from Durant High School’s chapter visited Robert E. Lee Early Childhood Center on Wedensday bearing gifts.
Each child there received a book courtesy the service organization. DHS students also stuck around to read to the children.
Kelly Robertson, sophomore and a two-year member of Key Club, said she enjoyed the day.
“It’s my favorite service project,” Robertson said. “Key Club is about helping children, whether it be in town or across the world.
“Every kid gets at least one book. This gave the same book for every class.”
