Dennis Maland Nunnally of Durant, Okla. passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 in Denison, Texas at the age of 61. He was born on Aug. 7, 1957 in Gainesville, Texas to John Sidney Nunnally III and Mary Elizabeth (Wheeler) Nunnally.
Dennis has been a life-long resident of Bryan County and graduated from Durant High School in 1976. He worked in the construction industry most of his life. Dennis was a member of the Durant Elks Lodge and volunteered for the West Bryan County Volunteer Fire Department for some years. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, and watching football.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Nunnally; brothers, John Nunnally, Gerry Nunnally, and Randy Nunnally; sister, Peggy Schmitz and her husband Jack.
Survivors include his sons, Jonathan Nunnally and wife Keely; Juston Nunnally; two sisters, Sally Rhea and Janice Ridenhour; brother, Timmy Nunnally; five grandchildren, Cade Nunnally, Aaden Nunnally, Katherine Nunnally, Easton Nunnally, and Emalynn Nunnally, along with many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. The family will accept friends Friday evening Dec. 14, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
