Demetra Wright

Demetra Danielle (Stanfield) Wright a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Denison, Texas at the age of 39. Demetra was born to Dale and Nova (Stanglin) Stanfield.

Demetra was a virtuous woman, she was definitely one of a kind. She enjoyed doing many things with her family and friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Demetra enjoyed making things from her own hands, she loved to cook, sew and doing puzzles. Recently she developed the craft of making homemade cards for birthday and Christmas to send to those she loved like her church family.

Demetra was a member of the Durant Church of Christ in Durant, Okla. One of Demetra’s favorite thing to do was going outdoor camping with her family, from deer hunting to just relaxing with her family by a fire. Demetra will be missed by all those who loved her.

Demetra is survived by her father, Dale Stanfield of the home; brothers, Aubrey and wife Sarah of Caddo, Okla., and James Stanfield of Durant, Okla.; nieces and nephews: Noah, Zequ, Nova, Ziva, Emma and Ella; grandfather, Max Stanglin; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Demetra is preceded in death by husband, Michael Wright; mother, Nova Stanfield; brother, Nolan Stanfield; grandparents, Aubrey and Beatrice Stanfield, and Mitizi Stanglin.

Family Hour will be Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at Homes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at Durant Church of Christ in Durant, Okla. with Pastor Layne Heitz officiating.

Following will be internment at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma with Demetra’s dad, Dale Stanfield, two brothers, James Coats, and Ted Wright, along with Shane Harper, serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Blake and Ashley West, Robert Hermel, and Blake Wright.
