Deana Joann Covey of Kingston, Oklahoma passed from this life on July 22, 2026, at the age of 66. Deana was born on September 28, 1959, in Caddo, Oklahoma to Emanuel Dean Proctor and Bobbie Jean Sims (Blackburn).
Deana attended Blue High School where she earned her diploma. She married James Springer in 1987 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Deana and James moved from Ft. Worth to Marshall County in 1996 and together they made a beautiful life. Deana worked in administration as an office clerk for many years. Deana was of the Baptist faith and had had a good relationship with the Lord. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her grandkids.
Deana is preceded in death by her spouse; James Springer, mother; Bobbie Jean Sims and step-father Al Sims, father; Emanuel Dean Proctor, and siblings; Henry “Junior” Arrington, Judy Arrington, and Teresa Proctor.
Those left behind to carry on her memory are her daughter, Alyssa Springer and spouse Bobby of Kingston, Okla.; son, Chad Covey of Ventura, Calif.; daughter, Jamie Jones and spouse Bryan Jones of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Leo Langston of Kingston, Okla.; granddaughter, Gabby Covey of Durant, Okla.; grandson, Manney Covey of Durant, Okla.; grandson, Sawyer Jones of Frisco, Texas; and granddaughter, Maddox Jones of Frisco, Texas.
A visitation for Deana will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, Okla.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, Okla., with Paige Scott officiating.
