David Wayne Johnson, of Bokchito, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 in Blue, Okla., at the age of 56. He was born on Friday, Feb. 1, 1963 in Fresno, Calif. to Elzie and Claudia (Cole) Johnson.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with is family. He was of the Baptist Faith and was baptized in 2009.
He married Marsha (Shelley) Johnson on March 16, 2004 in Coalgate, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Claudia (Cole) Johnson; brother, Frank Johnson and sister Kathy Grant.
Survivors include his wife, Shelley Johnson of Coalgate, Okla.; sons: David Johnson, Jr. of Madill, Okla., Mitch Johnson of Madill, Okla.; daughters: Rachel Johnson of Yuma, Ariz., Shawnna Johnson of Ravia, Okla.; step-son, Stephen Knight of Castle Rock, Colo.; step-daughter, Sarah Walton of Grand Junction, Colo.; brothers: Gary Johnson of Colorado, John Johnson; sisters: Carolyn Loftis of Blue, Okla., Else Johnson of Durant, Okla., Sharron Fox of Durant, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, many nieces, newphews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020, 2 p.m. at the OSU Extension office, 1901 S. Ninth Ave. in Durant, Okla.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant.
