David Oscar Garrett, 79, of Achille, Okla. passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born June 22. 1941 in Albuquerque, N.M. to Alva and Stella Mae Clement Garrett.
He married Dortha Virginia Bise on Nov. 2, 1961 and have lived in Achille for the past 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dortha Garrett of Achille, Okla.; daughters, Dana Applegate and husband Tony of Achille, Okla., Joy Angle of Mead, Okla., Connie Shields and husband Jim of Cartwright, Okla. and Sandra Densmore and husband Paul of Ardmore, Okla.; grandchildren: Tanner Applegate, Bradley Applegate, Duke Applegate, Christopher Gordon, Amanda Newkirk, Brandon Garrett, Gary Larkins, Charles Hayden, Stormy Spaulding, Melody McAdoo and David Brown; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ricky Garrett of Duncan, Okla. and Bob Garrett of Rush Springs, Okla.; sister, Margie Burleson of Duncan, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Calvin Garrett, Jr.
After cremation a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
