Darla Gail Giles of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 62. She was born on Monday, December 4, 1961 in Durant, Okla., to Cleo and Margaret Rose (Koonce) Pigg.
She was a lifelong resident of Durant. She lived alongside her partner Clyde Collins for 18 loving years.
She enjoyed thrift shopping and was an avid animal lover. She loved her pets and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Margaret Rose (Koonce) Pigg; and son Christopher Wayne Giles.
Survivors include her daughters, Gail Farrell and husband Jessie of Durant, Okla., Ashley Jackson and husband Darius of Durant, Okla.; sons, Eric Giles of Durant, Okla., Tommy Mote and wife Kristey of Durant, Okla.; brothers, Dale Pigg and wife Laura of Red Oak, Texas, Kenny Pigg of Durant, Okla.; aunt, Zelda Merritt of Durant, Okla.; cousins, Deborah Merritt, Ron Merritt; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as many other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Durant with Bro. Garry McNeill officiating. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla. Eric Giles, Cameron Mote, Landon Turner, D.J. Hall, Brenden Mote, Joey Bailey and Dakota Willeby will serve as pallbearers.
