Danny Duncan

Danny Gene Duncan, 83, of Denison, Texas was called to his Heavenly Home on Sept. 24, 2020. Danny was born to Green and Jessie Duncan on Aug. 29, 1937. He was a graduate of Calera High School in 1955 and retired from Oscar Mayer.
Danny was a man with a big heart, always teasing someone and he loved his family dearly. He has been ill for several years but now at peace with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was of the Baptist faith.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Birdie South.

Danny is survived his children, Danny J. Duncan of Denison, Texas, David Duncan and wife Rose of Garland, Texas and Ginger Duncan (his baby girl) of Denison, Texas; brothers, Benny Duncan of Silo, Okla. and Steve Duncan and wife Rena of Achille, Okla.; sister, Vera Winnett of Colbert, Okla.; grandsons, Michael Duncan and wife Kim of Sulphur, Texas and David Duncan II and fiancé Alayna of Denison, Texas; Sandra Duncan, mother of his children and best friend of Calera, Okla.; step-grandchildren, Courtney and husband of Garland, Texas, Floyd and wife of Plano, Texas, Katy of Garland, Texas and Joey of Garland, Texas and Nicky of Ohio; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant. Bro. Kerry Groce will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Jackie Duncan, Stevie Duncan, Bobby Duncan, Joey Kincaid, David Chandler and Tommy South serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
