Cynthia Matson

Cynthia “Cindy” Diann Matson or better known by her closest family as NeeNee, was born on August 24, 1958 in San Angelo, Texas. She left us to be with her Father on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

Cindy had a heart of gold and loved serving her Lord. Neenee also loved to serve her family by going above and beyond with her cooking or hosting everyone around her fire pit. She made sure any guest in her and Kregg’s home felt loved and knew how special they were in God’s eyes. She loved having a house full of laughter and warmth and did all that she could to create that atmosphere in the home. She loved her kitty cats and always had to make sure they were fully fed.

Her love for gardening was one of her favorite hobbies that tied in to her love of serving up tasty food. She was a world class chef and loved to let those talents shine during the holiday season. She is famously known for having some of the best cooking recipes but never sharing the full ingredient list. Her humor and goofy side wasn’t always seen by all, but it never left her side and can be seen by her boys and daughter. She was a tough woman and taught her family what a good work ethic embodied. Her servant’s heart was a quality she wanted each of her children to carry and transfer to their own families one day. She leaves behind with her family a legacy of healthy hearts and minds with a love for the Lord.

We love you NeeNee and are so grateful for the example you provided us.

A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Victory Life Church in Durant, Okla.

Arrangements under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
