Cricket Dollar

LaQuetta Gayle Dollar “Cricket” of Durant, Okla., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 54. She was born on September 18, 1969, in Durant, Oklahoma to Helen Jean (Baty) Kelsey. She married the love of her life Jerry Wayne Dollar in Durant, Okla., on June 29, 1990.

Cricket was a dietary manager for Calera Manor and Southern Pointe in Colbert. She also worked for Durant ISD and Four Seasons, at Dairy Queen and Sonic. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching magical movies with her grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand to help anyone out. But most of all, she loved being a mother.

Left behind to cherish Cricket’s memory are her children: daughter, Rosemary Estelle Dollar of Calera, Oklahoma; son, Andrew Vernon DeWayne Dollar and wife Harley Kay Varner-Dollar of Mead, Oklahoma; daughter, Cynthia Paige Dollar and Samuel Paul Coble of Hendrix, Okla.; sister Helen Hankins and husband Luther of Durant, Okla; grandchildren: Brayden Prince, Leland Prince, Dominic Prince, Noah Coble, Lilly Coble, Axel Coble, Jaxon Coble, Annsley Dollar, Brinleigh Dollar, Everley Dollar, and Harleigh Chadwick.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Jean (Baty) Kelsey; her husband, Jerry Dollar and other family members.

Family Hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Brother William Airington officiating. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery following her funeral service.

Those serving as pallbearers are Andrew Dollar, Kevin Jones, Sam Coble, Noah Coble, Luther Hankins, and George Hankins. Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Prince, Randall Ballew, Donald Ray, Jr, and Brandon Delozier.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant.
