Coronavirus total cases for the year in county hits 50, first case reported in Bokchito

BRYAN COUNTY – The total number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Bryan County has reached 50 for the year. The numbers have literally gone up and down in the last few days.

Additionally, the first confirmed positive case in Bokchito was reported on Tuesday.

There is still a discrepancy in the numbers reported for Bryan County according to the ‘View Data by County’ tab and the ‘View Data by City’ tab.

Of note also in the reporting last week was a lowering of one town’s number of positive cases. In the City Data view, it was reported mid-week that Bennington had six positive cases. Later in the week, that number was changed to five.

The County Data shows 51 confirmed positive cases with 36 recoveries* and one death attributed to COVID-19, leaving 14 as active cases.

The City Data shows seven towns in the county to be reporting a total of 50 cases with 36 recoveries and one death, which means 13 active cases.

CADDO | 2 positive cases (2 recoveries)
BOKCHITO | 1 positive case

* Recoveries are defined as those currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
