BRYAN COUNTY – One man was injured in a single-car accident on Wednesday outside Durant.

Jerry Meade, 73 of Colbert, was driving a 2016 Ford pickup eastbound at about noon on County Road E2090 1.5 miles south and 6.3 miles east of Durant. His vehicle departed the roadway to the right and struck a tree, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Meade was transported by Air-Evac to Plano Medical Center with head, trunk external and leg injuries and was listed in stable condition.
He was wearing a seat belt.
The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Philadelphia Fire Department.
