Clyde McIntire

Clyde McIntire, a resident of Wade, Okla., joined his Lord and Savior in Plano, Texas on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the age of 95. He was the son of Hendrix and Zula (Todd) McIntire born in Wade, Okla. on March 29, 1925.

Clyde was truly a man of the land. He dedicated his whole life to his passion, farming and ranching. Clyde enjoyed checking his livestock every day. He planted a garden every year and looked forward to reaping his harvest for his family and to share with others. Clyde was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mr. McIntire is survived by his beloved wife, Louise of the home; sons: Michael McIntire (Sherie) of Frisco, Texas, Patrick McIntire of Garland, Texas, Richard McIntire (Susie) of Durant, Okla., and Danny Joe McIntire (Barbara) of Anna, Texas; 11 grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren, and is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Conditt of Mississippi.

Mr. McIntire was preceded in death by his parents, Hendrix and Zula McIntier; daughter-in-law, Ann McIntire; siblings: Virgil McIntire, Edith Holder, Hollis McIntire, Hazel Akins, Viola Cain, Lester McIntire, Lois Tickner, and Mary Conlley.

A come and go visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. A live video of his graveside service will be available for friends and family to view at www.holmescoffeymurray.com at 10 a.m. Monday, April 20 with Bro. Ross Phillips officiating and his grandsons’ service as his pallbearers.
