Clyde Lee Hammock

Clyde Lee Hammock was born on August 25, 1953, at Bergstrom AFB, in Austin, Texas to Clyde and Evelyn Hammock. He was the apple of their eye.

Lee excelled in his school years, graduating from Crocket High School (cum laude), The University of Texas at Austin, earning a bachelor’s degree in business and later earning his master’s degree from Texas A & M University.

Lee served as City Manager of Duncanville, Texas, Fleet Manager with the City of Richardson, and retired from the City of Farmers Branch, Texas as Purchasing Agent in August 2022.

Lee loved his role as PawPaw to his grandchildren, Marie Katherine, Hazel June and Atticus Ray. He loved his Harley Davidson, which he named Aces 8s, enjoying many rides with his friends, as well as the Toy Runs at Christmastime. He enjoyed cooking and serving food to the homeless at the Denison Inn and participating in the annual Chili Cook Off in Terligua as both cook and judge.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 23 years, Crystal Hammock; son, Michael Hammock; granddaughter, Marie Katherine Hammock; son, Peyton Hutchinson and wife Haley; grandchildren: Hazel June and Atticus Ray Hutchinson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Brad Munsell, Donna and Mark Kruse, Misty and Murray Gilbert, Keith and Derra Eppler, Misty Lynn Clark,; aunt and uncle Jane and Richard Verinder; numerous nephews, nieces, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Evelyn Hammock; sister, Holly Ann; grandparents, Raymond &and Edna Pollan of Austin and William and Martha Jane Hammock of Tennessee.

A graveside memorial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Live Oak Cemetery, located at 10739 Twin Creeks Road in Manchaca, Texas.
