Cleta Joyce Pittman, a resident of Ninnekah, Okla., passed from this life in Oklahoma City, Okla. on Oct. 18, 2021, at the age of 74. Cleta was born in Durant, Okla., to Melvin Clinton Coulter and Tommie Lee Whatley on March 13, 1947. Cleta was married to James Pittman, who preceded her in death.
Cleta loved sitting on the porch every morning enjoying her coffee. She was a bartender for a while, and a waitress in Bokchito. Cleta was a great cook, loved listening to old music, and going dancing. She loved her family dearly and cherished their times together and playing softball when the family got a chance on the weekends.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by her children: Randy Bully of Durant, Okla., Jeff Bully and wife Emily of Georgia, Tracy Pittman of Verden, Okla., Lesia Moore and husband Stephen of Ninnekah, Okla., and Dallas Pittman of Ninnekah, Okla.; grandchildren: Brett, Chase, Sasha, Randy, Jeffrey, Justin, and Joseph Bully, Marissa Cunningham, Jeffrey Bully, Jayla, and Michael Bully, Cody Pittman, Dakota Ussery, Demetry Moore, Noah, Izebella, and Remington Moore, Victoria Villar, Lacy Moore, Zach Ross, Jessie Pittman, and Jazzmyn Maidron; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Junior Coulter and wife Denise, Darlene Brinlee and husband Dewayne, Johnny Coulter and wife Cindy, and Charlotte McDonald; mother-in-law, Helen Pittman, and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her mother, Tommie Lee McDonald and husband Walter McDonald; dad, Melvin Coulter and stepmom, Rosie; sisters, Mickey Bruce and husband Donnie Bruce, Joyce Creaseman, Jolene Gayle and brother, Ray Coulter.
Family hour will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Okla. The officiants will be William Airington and Dewayne Brinlee.
A chapel service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25. Her final earthly resting place will be the Mead Cemetery in Mead with Cody Pittman, Randy Bully, Demetry Moore, Dakota Ussery, Joseph Bully, and Jeffery Bully as her pallbearers. Her honorary pallbearers will be Justin Bully and Noah Moore.
Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
