Clara Robinson

Clara Jeanette Robinson was born on Oct. 28, 2016. She came into the world early and left this earth far too soon on Dec., 24, 2024.

She had the energy of a supernova with an incandescent smile. She was the natural born though sometimes exasperated leader of her siblings and cousins, and they adored her, as did her countless friends. She loved princesses, art, books and anything sparkly pink. The Durant High School gym was Clara’s domain and her second home and she shadowed her dad’s team like an unofficial mascot. Clara’s teachers, Mrs. Gentry, Mrs. Piercy, Mrs. Buchanan and Mrs. Baskin say she’s unforgettable. She was a powerhouse on the volleyball court. She was a budding artist. She was scary smart with the kindest heart and the wildest imagination. She was delightfully confident; she believed she could, and she very often did. No one loved life or laughed, including at herself, more.

She is survived by her mother, Kristen, her brothers Carson and Cade, her sister Ellie, and all the grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her so. Words can’t express the impact Clara left on her world.

Preceding Clara in death are her great-grandparents, Lola and Carney Robinson, Betty and Castle Hudson; great uncle Kyle Hudson, and aunt, Kayla Winking.

A joint memorial service for Clara and her father Will, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Durant High School Gymnasium.
