Charlie Johnson

Charlie Johnson, 73, of Mead, Okla., passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Denison, Texas. He was born on Jan. 19, 1947 in El Reno, Okla. to Arnie Martin Johnson and Barbara Jean (Stewart) Johnson.

Charlie attended school and graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City. He married Debra Jolene Hart in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1983.

Charlie and Debra moved to Oklahoma in 1988 coming from Texas. He was the proud owner of ABC Occupational Safety Service for 30 years where he worked with his family. He loved reading, crossword puzzles, being with his family and grandkids, an avid sports fan, and loved music. Charlie was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Debra Johnson of the home; son, Chaz Johnson and wife Lauren of Mead, Okla.; daughter, Barbie Noltkamper and husband David of Kenefic, Okla.; one sister, Charlotte Costello of Edmond, Okla.; one brother, David Johnson and spouse Scott Delp of Lenexa, Kan.; four grandchildren: Pailsee, Trace, Dawson, and Gunner; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Charlie to Braving Infertility Together at www.bravingit.org.
