Charles LeRoy Rich, 59, of Colbert, Okla., passed away peacefully, with his family near, on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Charles was born on May 5, 1962 in Harriman, Tenn. to Charles Caroll and Marjorie Freytag Rich.
He was a graduate of Sunbright, Tenn., and days after his graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country from 1980-1987. In 1993, he met Mary Manery and a year later, on Sept. 16, 1994, they were united in marriage. He then worked in security as a guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles & Marjorie Rich and his sister; Twyla Bunch.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Rich of Colbert, Okla.; children: Charles Leroy Rich Jr. and Carolynn of Colbert, Okla., Samantha Rich of Colbert, Okla., Faith Rich of Calera, Okla., Kyle Rich and Harlei of Colbert, Okla.; three sisters: Angela Rich of Murfreesboro, Tenn., April Vincent of Sunbright, Tenn., Norma Disney of Tenn.; four grandchildren: Markus, Maekynzi, Lincoln and Parker and other extended family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, 4 p.m. at Coleman Avenue Church of Christ in Colbert, Okla. with Brother Richard Gage officiating. A family and friends visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at 3 p.m.
