BRYAN COUNTY – One teenager is dead following a single-vehicle accident on Friday morning.
The accident occurred approximately one mile west of Calera on Jack Rabbit Road and Sterret Road, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
While still under investigation, the accident involved a 2001 Dodge Durango in which four teenagers, all from Calera, were riding. One passenger, a 14-year-old girl, suffered fatal injuries. She was transported by EMS and pronounced deceased by hospital staff at AllianceHealth Durant.
Two of the other teens, including the driver, had injuries, as well.
Seatbelts were equipped, but were not in use by any occupant, according to the report. The airbag did not deploy.
The names of the teenagers were not released.
The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Calera fire Department, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office and the Bryan County EMS.

That’s so sad ,so young makes me sad , people need to teach there children how important seatbelts are ,they do save lives ,that’s the first thing I do it becomes a habit .my heart goes out to the family’s.
