The Calera Lady Bulldogs softball team travels to Vanoss to open the season on Monday, and that is a precursor of things to come during the first part of the season.
With the exception of the Calera Tournament – this Thursday through Saturday – and a home contest against Talihina on Aug. 22, Bulldog Backers will have to log some miles to keep up with their team this fall.
Calera has road games, two three-ways and a tournament in Tushka in August.
The schedule flips somewhat as the calendar turns to September, with six home games scattered throughout the month.
The season finale is at Tishomingo on Sept. 30 and the playoffs start on Oct. 3.
The Lady Bulldogs’ fans also pushed CHS to a win in the Patriot’s preseason poll.
