Caddo, Calera, Silo each return to state in slow-pitch

BRYAN COUNTY – Bryan County will be well-represented again in 2018 at the slow-pitch state tournaments in Oklahoma City.

Caddo, Calera and Silo are all making return trips to ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in their respective classifications. The teams are looking to continue playing a little longer in the day this year.

In 2017, four teams (the above three and Rock Creek) made it to the state tournaments, with only Caddo getting past the quarterfinals. The Lady Bruins were eliminated in the semis.

Here are the scores from the regional brackets from Thursday:

CLASS 4A

At Mangum 
Mangum 23, Healdton 3
Calera 20, Chisholm 0
Mangum 15, Calera 3 – Mangum advances to State
Chisholm def. Healdton
Calera 16, Chisholm 15 – Calera advances to State

At Silo
Silo 24, Konawa 5
Stroud 11, Pocola 9
Silo 19, Stroud 5 – Silo advances to State
Pocola 19, Konawa 6
Stroud 28, Pocola 18 – Stroud advances to State

CLASS 3A

At Caddo
Amber-Pocasset def. Wynnewood
Caddo 12, Hinton 0
Caddo 18, Amber-Pocasset 0 – Caddo advances to State
