DURANT – The latest Burkes Outlet both opened for business and officially joined the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday morning.

The new store had its grand opening at its location at 1027 W. Main St. in Durant. It is in the building that most recently housed Stage.
“Burkes is a family-based company that has been here for over 115 years,” district manager Oliver Ebert said. “It’s privately owned and it services the entire family.
“We have over 500 stores nationwide. We are new to Oklahoma, and opened up our first store in Muskogee in November 2019.”
The location in Durant is the eighth Burkes to open in the Sooner State.
“Oklahoma really loves Burkes. We’ve had a really good response from the state and we are excited to be here.”
