Bryan County schools ready to start in early August

It is time to go back to school in Bryan County. And although school districts will likely be dealing with continually changing guidelines from state and national agencies regarding COVID, in-person education is on the docket.

The “First Day of School” comes as early as next week for some county schools.

Bennington leads the way again in 2021, with the first day coming on Monday, Aug. 2. Achille follows closely behind, starting on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Many of the school districts will wait a little more than a week following, beginning classes on Thursday, Aug. 12. Those schools include: Caddo, Calera, Colbert, Durant, Rock Creek and Silo.

Victory Life will have its first day of class a week later on Thursday, Aug. 19.

And Southeastern re-opens in-person instruction on Monday, Aug. 16.
