Broken Arrow wins Overwatch title at Shadowcat Invitational for second straight year

DURANT – The Broken Arrow High School esports team successfully defended it title as Overwatch champions at the Second Annual Atoka Shadowcat Invitational.

Broken Arrow defeated Atoka, 2-0, in the championship match on Saturday in the event held at the Choctaw Event Center.

The two-day invitational hosted 16 schools from around Oklahoma with a team tournament in Overwatch and an individual tournament of Super Smash Brothers. Schools were of all sizes, including large schools like Broken Arrow and Lawton Eisenhower to smaller schools like Salina and Geronimo.

The newly-formed Durant Lions esports team had a varsity and a junior varsity team compete in the Overwatch tournament. The varsity group finished in a tie for fifth place overall.
