Bret Hendrix, 30, passed from this life on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in Sherman, Texas. Bret was born Monday, August 23, 1993 in Denison, Texas to Yuri Victor Hendrix and Beth Ann (Parks). 
Bret grew up and attended school in Calera. His last employment was at Austin College in Sherman where he worked as a cook in the cafeteria. Bret enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and gardening.
Bret was preceded in death by his uncle, Tristan Hendrix.
He leaves behind his mother, Beth Parks of Calera; his father, Yuri Hendrix of Calera; brother, Shawn Hendrix and his wife, Jessica of Durant; sister, Brooke Hendrix of Calera; grandparents, Joe and Vickie Frank of Sherman, Greg and Vicki Hendrix of Pottsboro, and Helen Parks of Durant; uncles, Larry Parks and Michael Parks both of Durant; three nephews: Jaxon, Gio, and Atreus; aunt, Tara Webb and husband, Jeff; and cousins, Baylee and Landry.
Services to celebrate Bret’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Chaplain Don Fentem will officiate.
