Bonnie Jeanne Manus

Bonnie Jeanne (Brown) Manus was born on October 6, 1957 in Sherman, Texas to MSgt. George H. Brown, Sr. and Jewel M. (Bledsoe) Brown. She entered Heaven on July 12, 2022 in Shawnee, Okla.

Bonnie cherished her memories growing up on the family farm with her furry pets. She attended Calera School with her friends, graduating with the Class of ’77. As a child, she loved to ride alongside her daddy on the tractor, often falling asleep. When she got her drivers license, she was always along to drive and help with her daddy’s upholstery pickups/deliveries.

God was merciful in allowing Bonnie to enter the nursing home with her mother which allowed her to transition before her mother’s passing. During her visits she loved to sing songs about Jesus, especially “Oh How I Love Jesus.” She would often stop during conversation to pray for someone in need.

Bonnie loved going to garage sales, the color purple, and all things big or small, but her love for family exceeded them all. Her son, Dakota, was the absolute light of her life!

Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents, George and Jewel Brown; sister, Margaret Driskell; brother, George H. Brown, Jr. and niece, Kelly Wells.

Surviving Bonnie are her sister, Linda Birdsong, and her husband, Frank, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her life-long friend, Vicki Collman.

The family is grateful for the care given to Bonnie by the staff of Golden Rule Nursing Center in Shawnee.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
