Bonnie K. Chaffin, a resident of Caddo, Okla., left this life and joined her Lord and Savior in Denison, Texas on Jan. 15, 2019 at the age of 82.
Bonnie was born in Durant, Okla. on Jan. 26, 1936 to Alfred and Lola (Birdwell) Tucker. She married Olen Chaffin in Oklahoma City, Okla. on June 27, 1952, he preceded her in death on April 29, 2010. Bonnie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Caddo. She enjoyed creating delicious meals for those she loved, while caring for her home. Bonnie cherished her large family and looked forward to any time spent together.
Mrs. Chaffin is survived by her: children, Charlotte Pate and husband Victor of Durant, Okla., Sherri Owens and husband Kenny of Kenefic, Okla., Danny Chaffin and wife Johnna of Madill, Okla., and Steve Chaffin and wife Jan of Caddo, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; sisters, Wanda Lackey of Caney, Okla. and Margaret Holland of Durant, Okla.
Mrs. Chaffin was preceded in death by her: parents, Alfred and Lola Tucker; husband, Olen; grandson, Jeromy Chaffin; brothers, Carl Lee Tucker, Welton Tucker; and sisters, Pauline Alford and Joyce Hider.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 18 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Caddo with Bro. Clifford Joines officiating. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo with her beloved grandchildren servicing as her pallbearers.
