Bokchito woman killed in accident in roping arena

BRYAN COUNTY – One person is dead in a fatality collision near Bokchito on Sunday afternoon.

Cinnamon Mullens, 36, of Bokchito was driving a 2020 Can Am in a private roping arena approximately 3 miles west of Bokchito, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Mullens was pulling a roping dummy and turned back to watch her husband, who was behind the ATV on a horse, attempting to rope the dummy. The Can Am struck some fencing panels causing it to turn over onto the driver’s side. Mullens was thrown from the vehicle.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Bryan County EMS due to injuries sustained in the collision.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Bokchito Police Department, Bokchito Fire Department, and Bryan County EMS.
