Bobby Wess Weddle, 94, of Colbert, Okla., passed away peacefully at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas, on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. Bobby was born on Jan. 2, 1927 in Scipio, Okla. to Cecil and Anna Heskitt Weddle. He married Ruby Harrelson, his bride of 73 years, on June 4, 1948 in McAlester, Okla.

He served his country in the United States Army and United States Navy. He was formerly employed in Civil Service. He also retired from the Safeway Plant in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Colbert, Okla. Bobby enjoyed fishing with friends, playing  dominoes and cards. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his sweet, loving wife, Ruby Weddle; his daughter, Vickie Jordan and Richard of Colbert, Okla.; his sons: Don Weddle of Calera, Okla. and Steve Weddle and Martha of Laredo, Texas; his sister, Sue Epps of McAlester, Okla.; his brother, Joe Weddle and Mary of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren: Diane, Bobby, Stephanie, Sarah’Ana, Yvonne and Spencer; numerous great-grandchildren, other extended family and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Anna Weddle; sister, Thelma Young; two infant sisters; and his grandsons: Kevin Jordan and Tyler Weddle.

The family requests a private service on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, 10 a.m. with Brother Randy Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. The Choctaw Color Guard will conduct a service at the cemetery.

After the service the family will gather at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church for lunch and visitation with family and friends.
