Bobbie Jean Harris, 80, of Madill, Okla., passed away on June 20, 2021 at the Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas. She was born on Sept. 22, 1940 in Madill to the late Marion Francis Danner and Agnes Lucille Givens Danner.
Bobbie was raised in Madill and graduated from Madill High School in 1958. She married Lloyd (Sonny) Harris on June 9, 1969 in Wichita Falls, Texas and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1977. Bobbie was a military wife who lived from Texas to Wisconsin and from California to Virginia.
After her husband passed away she returned to Madill, Okla., her family home. Bobbie then began handling accounts payable for the City Garage, a family owned business. She was a member of First Baptist Church before later joining Grantham Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her friends at the County Election Board as long as her health allowed.
She is survived by children: Kim Scott of Madill, Okla.; Kelli Stacy and husband Tony of Mead, Okla.; grandchildren: Angie Pillars and husband Ross of Blossom, Texas, Stefanie Hopkins and husband Ben of Madill, Okla., Scott Clement and wife Veronica of Madill, Okla.; great-grandchildren: Gabe, Hadley, and Drake Pillars, Kyleigh, Reagan, Aubri and Landri Hopkins, Luke, Leighton and Kyler Clement; sisters; Peggy Martin of Rogers, Ark., Mary Ann Blakely and husband Doyle of Madill, Okla.; brother: Mark Danner and wife Brenda of Madill, Okla.; her cat: Ms. Kitty; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Danner and son in law, Russell Douglas.
Casket Bearers are Ross Pillars, Scott Clement, Ben Hopkins, Tony Stacy, Wesley Johnson, Danny Blakely, Greg Clement, Clifton Moss and Honorary Bearers are Dr. Greg Martens, Leonard Huffman, Gabe Pillars, Luke Clement.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Claude Williams will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Okla.
Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
