Bob Settlemires of Atoka, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the age of 79. He was born on Sunday, January 21, 1945 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Evelyn (Wills) and Robert Lee Settlemires.
He was a longtime resident of Atoka. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for three years. He married his wife Linda Gale (Jack) Settlemires on September 28, 1990 in Atoka.
Bob enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music and was even a part of a bluegrass band.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn (Wills) and Robert Lee Settlemires; and brother, Mike Settlemires.
Survivors include his loving wife, of 34 years, Linda Gale (Jack) Settlemires of the home; sisters, Sharon Lang of Atoka, Oklahoma, Dorothy Redden of Kenefic, Oklahoma, Trudy Smith of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Tracy Lee Settlemires-Allen of Claremore, Oklahoma; stepdaughters, Shelly Free of Wister, Oklahoma, Shannon Herring of Atoka, Oklahoma; step-grandchildren Stone, Stetson, Shelby, Slatey Jo, Shooter as well as other extended family and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date.
