Blue Zones Project now hiring in Durant

Release

As recently announced in the Patriot, a broad coalition of community leaders and stakeholders are bringing Blue Zones Project to Durant, and the organization is now looking to fill key positions.

Blue Zones Project is a community well-being initiative to optimize surroundings to help make healthy choices easier through environmental, social and policy changes. The initiative has a proven track record of community innovation – empowering 51 communities across 12 states to impact health and well-being at a community and population level for more than 3.4 million people. Blue Zones Project best practices use people, places, and policy as levers to transform those surroundings.

Durant is the second community in Oklahoma to launch Blue Zones Project, following Shawnee and Pottawatomie County in 2017.

“The community interest in Blue Zones Project we have already seen in Durant is very encouraging, and bodes well for the future success of the initiative,” said Michael Acker, SVP and General Manager – Blue Zones Project by Sharecare. “We look forward to partnering with local teammates that share our enthusiasm and passion for the well-being transformation Durant will experience in the near future, and encourage interested parties in the community to apply.”

Blue Zones Project is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
