Billy Wayne Jordan

Billy Wayne Jordan passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2024, at the age of 71. He was born on July 31, 1953, in Durant, Oklahoma, to of Edward Eugene and Nona Mae (Harper) Jordan. On August 2, 1975, Billy married the love of his life, Johnetta Castleman in Bryan County, Oklahoma.

Billy was a hard worker in the sanitation department for the City of Durant, where he served with commitment and pride. An avid outdoorsman, Billy found peace in the simplicity of nature. He was happiest when he was fishing or hunting, activities that allowed him to pass on his knowledge and passion to his son and grandson.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Johnetta Jordan of Bryan County, Okla.; his son, Josh Jordan, also of Bryan County; and his adored grandson, Jayden Jordan. Also surviving Billy are his sisters, Carolyn Cross of Bokchito, Okla., Norma Baker of Bokchito, Okla., and Susan Wallace of Mead, Okla., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents Edward and Nona Jordan, and his brother, Timmy Ray Jordan.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion with Reverend Ross Phillips officiating.

Those serving as pallbearers are Elgin Cross, Kyle Baker, Dustin Baker, and Luther Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Jordan, Albert Pierce, Zefe Laborico, and Will Peterson.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant.
