Betty Sue Stout

Betty Caldwell Stout went to be with Jesus on July 15, 2021. She was married to the love of her life, Rev. Loyd D. Stout, for 54 years. Rev. & Mrs. Stout served the Lord in Bryan Baptist Association for more than 50 years. Betty was best known for her love for people and her love of music. She played the piano, sang, and shared her talents through the years. She served in many Vacation Bible Schools and in Women’s Missions in Bryan Baptist Association, as well as, assisting her husband as he pastored.

Her crowning glories were her husband, children, grands, and great grands. Betty spared nothing seeing that they were well loved and had the best care. The very best loving came from Nano and Papa Stout!

Betty is survived by her daughters: Deborah Hendricks Janssen and husband Jack, Barbara Jordan and husband Ron, Kristy Kay Wooten and husband Tim, and Mary Lou Stout; sons: Steven Stout and wife Kristie, and the Rev. Jimmy Stout and wife Noelia.

Betty is survived by an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren – Grands: Arin Hunter and husband Michael with greats Grace, Joshua, and Caleb; Casey Stout and wife Alaina with greats Twyla, Rylee, Quillie, Asher and Levi. Lucas Jordan and wife Jessee with greats Luca and Leia; Alyssa Sparks and husband Roger with greats Madison, Roger Jr., Emma, and Brayden. Malcolm Hendricks and wife Nikki with greats Rees, Kingston, and Dyer; Grands: Nicholas, Paige, Nathan, Clarissa, and Noah Stout and Faith Wooten; Greats: Lilley and Isaac Piazza, and a host of treasured nieces and nephews.

Betty is also survived by two sisters: Lavona Coombes, and Kay Neal and husband Leslie; three sisters-in-law Charolette Caldwell, Betty Lou Caldwell, and Bell Stout, and a brother-in-law Charles Stout and wife Tamara.

Preceding Betty in death was her husband, the Rev. Loyd D. Stout; her parents, W.R. and Ethel Caldwell; her sisters, Marie Caldwell and Ola Mae Prescott; her brothers, Herman Caldwell and Bobby Caldwell; her granddaughters, Damon Martin, Jessica Stout Piazza, and Audrey Marie Wooten.

Graveside services will be held at Mead Cemetery, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 9 a.m. with Rev. Kerry Groce officiating assisted by Rev. Jimmy Stout.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
