Betty Odessa (Jones) Heflin, a resident of Bokchito, Okla. passed from this life in Durant, Okla. on July 15, 2019 at the age of 93. 
Odessa was born in Kenefic, Okla. to George Hodel and Ida Frances (Terry) Hodel on September 29, 1925. She married Perry Heflin in Durant, Oklaa. in 1980. Odessa retired after 23 years working as a dietician for Alliance Health in Durant. Her bible ministry with the Kingdom Hall was a priority in her life. Odessa enjoyed going to homecomings and visiting with old friends and family. She looked forward to any time she would spend with her cherished family and friends.
Mrs. Heflin is survived by her children: Wayne Jones and wife Peggy of Blue, Okla., Kenneth Jones of Blue, Okla., Georgia Gibson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Betty Jones of Blue, Okla., and Brenda DuVall of Blue, Okla.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and sister, Nellie Stonebarger of Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. Heflin was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Roy Jones; second husband, Perry Heflin; two sons, Gary Jones, Roy Don Jones; and brother, Vernon Hodel.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on July 16, 2019 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 17, 2019 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant with Bro. Bob Read officiating.
Burial will be at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Darrell Jones, Jameson DuVall, David Jones, Michael Gibson, Dustin Jones, and Cody Jones as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Jones, Cecil Smith, Craig Smith, and James Bates.
