Betty Louise Eldridge, of Calera, Okla. passed from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on Monday, Nov. 20, 1933 in McViegh, Kentucky to Morgan and Myrtle (Coburn) Meade Lankford.
Betty married Elmer Eldridge on April 30, 1949.
She was an avid reader of fiction, historical and romance novels. She enjoyed watching western movies and her favorite movie was “Gone With the Wind”. Her favorite TV show was “The View”. Most of all she enjoyed caring for her family whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Myrtle (Coburn) Meade Lankford; husband, Elmer; brothers, William Ball, Lewis Lankford; sisters, Aileen Phillips, Norma DiGorgio, Joyce Roscher; grandson Bryan Eldridge and granddaughter, Amy Louise Eldridge.
Survivors include her sons: Elmo Lee Eldridge, Jr. of Brookport, Ill., Robert Thomas Eldridge of Crown Point, Ill., Victor Gene Eldridge of New Lenox, Ill., Nick Eldridge of Bullhead, Ariz., Danny Randell Eldridge of Calera, Okla.; daughter, Donna Lou Morris of Aubrey, Texas; sister, Leona Logan; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at the Monterey Chapel, 224 S 9th, Durant, Oklahoma. Dan Eldridge, Jason Daniels, Victor Eldridge, Danny Eldridge and Randy Eldridge will serve as pallbearers. A graveside service will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma.
