Bernadine Inez Wade, 87, of Durant, Okla., passed away on April 27, 2020 at the Featherstone Assisted Living Center in Durant. She was born on March 10, 1933 in Daisy, Oklahoma to the late James E. Wolford and Vina Marie Clark Wolford.
Bernadine was raised in the Daisy and Adel, Okla. area and attended school in Clayton, Okla. She married Murray Wade on May 28, 1950 in Clayton and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1994. Bernadine also lived in Arizona and Weathers, Okla. before moving to Madill in 1969. She and Murray owned and operated the Sand Bass Motel for 10 years and managed the Texoma Peanut Inn. In 2015 she moved to Durant where she lived the rest of her life.
Bernadine was a member of the B&PW and the Oakview Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking and going to dinner with her girlfriends every Thursday night.

She is survived by children: Jim Wade and wife Linda of Bridge Creek, Okla., Patti Jones and husband Greg of Madill, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Susan Wade of Washington, Okla.; grandchildren: Kyle and Craig Wade, Cara Peters, David and Jared Sterling and Joshua Jones; nine great-grandchildren.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary D. Wade; and brother, James E. Wolford.
Services are under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
