Bentley Battles

Bentley Allen Battles of Calera, Okla., passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother at the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Friday January 22, 2021 at 7:47 p.m. After his short 27-day fight with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a congenital heart defect, Bentley gained his golden wings.

Bentley was born to Randle and Brittany (Rohe) Battles at 2:20 p.m. December 26, 2020, at Oklahoma Children’s hospital. During his brief visit on earth, Bentley touched many hearts around the world with his HLHS journey.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his older sisters Kylee and Emiley Battles, of Calera, Okla.; paternal grandparents: Keith (Sherrie Campbell) House of Denison, Texas, Stephanie (Jason) Cropper of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Rhonda (Jay) Moon of Tiro, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Larry (Lorie) Rohe of Sycamore, Ohio and Michelle (Jim) Horsley of Bucyrus, Ohio. Bentley was also loved my many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the Neonatal Cardiovascular ICU team at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital for all the care and compassion this past month.

There will be a memorial service Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Cunningham funeral home in Colbert, Okla.
