TEveryone is invited to come out for a special event of community, compassion and purpose, coming together to help Eve and her son, Connor, build a safe and stable home.
The benefit dinner will take place at the Elks Lodge on Monday, July 21. The Lodge is located at 300 Gates Ave. in Durant.
The event is to assist Eve, a devoted mother and veteran who has overcome unimaginable odds. Her son, Connor, is a brilliant young man with autism and a serious heart condition that will soon require open heart surgery. As Eve also faces a possible recurrence of a brain tumor, the two are working to rebuild their lives – physically, emotionally and spiritually.
This tiny home represents more than just a roof over their heads – it’s a place of sanctuary. It is a place to heal, to rest and to move forward without fear.
Proceeds from this benefit will go directly toward materials, utilities and the final steps needed to complete their tiny home.
