Anna Rebecca “Becky” Bechtol was born on Thursday, August 21, 1947 at 2:15 pm in Denison, Texas to Rosie Lee Wall Head and William Morgan Head of Colbert, Okla. She passed on Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Becky was raised in Colbert where she went to school and graduated in 1965. After Becky graduated, she moved to Van Alstyne, Texas where she married and had a daughter. Becky was a homemaker for the majority of her life but in 1996 she went back into the workforce as an IT Analyst for several different companies. In 1999, Becky moved to Plano, Texas where she met her husband, Bobby Charles Bechtol. On November 11, 2000 Bobby and Becky were married. She eventually moved back to Oklahoma where she lived the remainder of her days until her passing.
Becky loved to travel, work on her flowers, drink coffee in the mornings with her friends, and play games like Yahtzee and Solitaire. She also enjoyed going to thrift stores, garage sales, and shopping. She loved being a Mom and a especially a grandmother. Recently, she enjoyed going to her great-grandchildren’s football games where she got to watch her great-grandson play football and her great-granddaughter cheer. Becky was always in the front row cheering the people she loved on. She will greatly be missed.
Becky is survived by her daughter, Dana Overton and husband Mike of Durant, Okla.; her grandson, Dylan Overton, and wife Tiffany of Calera, Okla.; her great-grandson, Elias Bottkol of Calera, Okla.; her great-granddaughter, Avory Bottkol of Calera, Okla. She is also survived by three sisters: Pauline Perryman and husband Don, of Achille, Okla., Barbara Baxter of Tishomingo, Okla., and Janis Reasoner of Colbert, Okla.; five nieces: Shanna Fortner and husband Mark of Washougal, Wash., Karen Baxter of Tishomingo, Okla., Debbie Akins and husband Dwayne of Ravia, Okla., Sheila Piedra of Carthage, Texas, and Mellisia Ingram and husband Glendall of Carthage, Texas; three nephews: Charles Head, Jr. of Carthage, Texas, Forrest Perryman of Achillle, Okla., and Christopher Reasoner of Denison, Texas; and by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bechtol; parents, Rosie Lee and William Head; brother, Charles Head, Sr.; nieces, Annette Perryman and Lisa Gonzalez; nephew, Jeff Baxter; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Baxter.
A celebration of life in her honor will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Coleman Avenue Church of Christ in Colbert, Okla.
