Audie Weger

Audie Lewis Were was born May 26, 1954, in Durant, Okla., to Bobby J. and Wanda Parton Weger. He died on January 7, 2023, in Colbert, Okla.

Audie worked in construction and farming his whole life. He spent many years working with his brothers and cousins. He also spent many hours in the field on a tractor.

Audie “Automatic” lived a simple life, living just the way he wanted. He loved fishing and being on the river. This was some of the times he enjoyed most with family and friends. Audie planted and worked his garden every year, then gave away lots of vegetables, cantaloupe, and watermelons. He also spent many nights playing cards and dominoes. It did not matter what he was doing, as long as family or friends were Involved. He will be greatly missed by many.

Audie was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Wanda; brothers, Danny and Bobby Weger; sisters, Terri Langford and Mary Little.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike and Molly Weger of Bells, Texas, Ronnie and Julie Weger of Colbert, Okla., Randy and Missie Weger of Colbert, Okla.; sisters, Kaye and Tom Solomon of Colbert, Okla., Sandy and Keith Meek of Idabel, Okla., Patti and Terry Bell of Colbert, Okla.; brother-in-law, Jerry Langford of Randolph, Texas, and sister-in-law, Teresa Weger of Colbert, Okla.; 17 nephews; seven nieces; 20 great-nephews; 29 great-nieces; one great-great-nephew and two great-great-nieces.

Services for Audie Lewis Weger will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Cunningham Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert. Pallbearers will be Jamie Weger, Chance Weger, Chase Weger, Tyler Weger, Greg Cummins and Ricky Thompson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Okla.
